I am excited to share some big news with you. One week ago, Resnick Family Brands purchased Giel Garage Doors, Inc., an incredible garage door business based in Butler, PA, that has been serving customers across Western Pennsylvania for decades. Giel Garage Doors, Inc. was founded by Gerry Giel, who began learning the trade as a child and opened the business full-time in 1984. Since that time, he has built a strong and well-respected company with a large, loyal customer base and a reputation for quality work and great service

Introducing Resnick Garage Doors!

Some of you may be wondering why garage doors. For me, this comes full circle. When I was 16 years old, I got my start in the garage door industry, actually working alongside one of the Giel family members. I spent eight years in the trade as an installer and service technician and fell in love with the work. It is where I learned hands-on craftsmanship, customer service, and the importance of doing things the right way. So this opportunity is not just a business decision for me. It is a return to my roots and a chance to build on something that has been part of my life for a long time.

I am proud to share that Gerry is staying on board with us as one of our sales professionals and mentors, helping us train and develop the next generation of talent within the garage door business. His experience and commitment to doing things the right way are a major part of what makes this business special, and I am grateful to continue working alongside him. Our shared values, our commitment to exceptional service, and our belief in doing the right thing will be the foundation of that partnership.
